A Garlic Bread and Pizza love affair

Ingredients

  • 1 Brumby’s Pane de Casa

  • 4 Tbs butter

  • 1 Tbs oregano

  • 1 Tbs paprika

  • Handful basil, roughly chopped

  • Handful parsley, roughly chopped

  • 2 heads of garlic

  • 1 small yellow capsicum, thinly sliced

  • 10 Sicilian olives deseed and diced

  • 135g sundried tomatoes, diced

  • 1 Cup cheddar cheese, grated

  • 50g parmesan cheese, Grated

  • 2 Tbs olive Oil

  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Pre Heat Oven to 200 Degrees

  2. Remove 2 cm of the tops of your garlic heads with a knife

  3. Drizzle garlic with 1 tbs olive oil and salt then wrap in alfoil, place on a baking tray and roast for 25 minutes

  4. Add 3 tbs of butter to a pestle and mortar, then remove your garlic from the oven, let cool until cool enough to handle, then squeeze your roasted garlic on top of the butter, add your oregano, paprika basil, parsley and salt and crush until it becomes a smooth paste

  5. Cut your pana da casa in half through the centre and layer the garlic butter on top, spreading with a spoon, then bake for 10 minutes

  6. Pull the garlic bread out of the oven and cover with your capsicum, sundried tomatoes, olives, cheese and parmesan then bake for another 10 minutes, remove from oven drizzle with olive oil, slice into strips and enjoy this delicious love affair of garlic bread and pizza!
