Ingredients:

6 Brumby’s White Long Rolls

6 hot dog sausages

½ brown onion, thinly sliced

½ red onion, thinly sliced

1 x Tsp brown sugar

1 cup mozzarella, grated

3 small pickles, diced

1 ½ tsp tomato sauce

2 tsp oil
-
1 tbs butter

For the Big Dog Sauce: 100g Lettuce, thinly sliced

For the Big Dog Sauce: ½ cup Mayonnaise
-
For the Big Dog Sauce: 2 Tbs radish
-
For the Big Dog Sauce: 1 ½ Tbs Mustard

For the Big Dog Sauce: 1 ½ Tbs Mustard: 1/2 Tbs BBQ sauce of choice

For the Big Dog Sauce: 1 ½ Tbs Apple Cider Vinegar

For the Big Dog Sauce: ½ Tsp garlic powder

For the Big Dog Sauce: ½ tsp paprika

For the Big Dog Sauce ¼ tsp salt
Method:

Step 1:
To make the big mac sauce add all the ingredients to a medium bowl, mix to combine then cover with glad wrap and refrigerate.

Step 2:
In a pan on med-high heat, add a tsp of oil, then add your onion, cook down, then add a tsp of brown sugar and caramelise the onion. Remove the onion from the pan and set it aside.

Step 3:
Add another tsp of oil to the same pan the onion was in then add your sausages, cook for 8-10 minutes on med-high heat, turning constantly. Remove from pan and set aside.

Step 4:
Slice your bread rolls down the centre, 2 cm deep, then melt 1 tbs of butter in the microwave for 30 seconds and pour over the bread roll then add them to the pan and cook until slightly golden on both sides.

Step 5:
To assemble add a third of the big mac sauce to each bread roll, then add 2 sausages to each (slice 1 cm off each sausage, so they join perfectly in the middle) top with the caramelised onion, mozzarella, pickles then drizzle with tomato sauce and experience the Brumby's Big Dog!
